Since 2006, Joanne Donaldson (formerly Joanne Morris) has been exploring the paranormal history of Birmingham and the West Midlands, combining historical research, personal accounts and investigation to better understand the stories behind reported hauntings and unexplained events.

Through Birmingham Ghosts and Hauntings UK, which she founded, Joanne has documented local ghost stories, folklore and the experiences of those who have encountered the unexplained.

She was also the writer of the Sunday Mercury's 'Haunted' column, sharing investigations, local legends and readers' experiences with a wider audience.

Joanne is the author of A Haunting in Harborne:  A True Story of Fear, Family and Survival.
